Sound Healing is the application of sound and silence with clear intention for the purpose of the client’s healing and highest good., The sounds are therapeutic and will primarily be the healer’s own voice, but may also include tuning forks, drums, rattles, singing bowls, sound recordings or other instruments.

The healing sounds are used in conjunction with periods of silence which are vital to allow the client to integrate the healing. During this time the healer is then also able to make notes and observe the client for audible or visible responses to the healing, which may show when and where energy is being rebalanced. At this time the client rests, their body/mind readjusts and they often experience very deep and blissful relaxation. Silence leads the body/mind into stillness and peace. It changes brainwave patterns and allows a deepening of the healing process to occur. My experiences of the silence within healing sessions is that it is as powerful and healing as the sounds themselves.

Sound healing is usually given during several sessions of around one hour each, normally a week or so apart. A part of this time is also spent with the healer listening to the client, setting goals, gaining information about the client’s medical history and reasons for coming, and later on for collecting feedback and assessing how the healing process is working.

Sound healing works because everything in the universe vibrates. Everything from stars to jellyfish to atoms and molecules have their own resonance. This means that they vibrate at different frequencies along a spectrum which is so vast that it extends beyond our ability to perceive them all. We see an example of this in the animal kingdom, where, as we know, dogs’ sense of hearing is able to pick up sound frequencies, such as a dog whistle, that humans are unable to hear. Ultrasound is another example of a frequency that we are unable to perceive, yet we use it in medicine all the time.

The body is a self-regulating, self healing system and when any part of the system is out of balance, sick or injured, the whole system is affected and becomes discordant like an orchestra with one violin playing out of tune. This can be felt simply as a sense of discomfort or may cause terrible pain and suffering. By exploring the body with sound to find areas of imbalance and then being guided to find a sound frequency that brings the system back into harmony and balance, we can help restore the body to health.

Each person has their own vibration, made up of the various frequencies of their body, their thoughts and feelings as well as their soul energy. We know this intuitively and feel it on a daily basis. Thinking sad or angry thoughts lowers our frequency and therefore our energy; positive, loving thoughts and feelings raise our frequency and thus our energy. Many other things can cause our frequencies to change, including ageing, diet, environment, toxins, accidents, trauma etc. By applying appropriate sound frequencies, which resonate in harmony with the body, mind and soul, we can support the body’s own self healing.

The importance of intention in Sound Healing cannot be underestimated. It is the energy behind the sound we make and the consciousness which we embody that makes all the difference to the outcome of sound healing.

Sound therefore can be understood to be the carrier of consciousness and we can see and feel this any time we encounter someone speaking, whether they are shouting in anger or gently soothing someone’s pain, we can feel the emotional energy and the intention behind it. Because of this the human voice is the most potent sound healing tool we have. According to Jonathan Goldman, a well known sound healer, healing comes about when we combine frequency with intention.

It is the intention of healing and highest good that transforms the sound into a healing energy. It is not an intellectual or rational choice of sound that we make, it is the merging of consciousness and sound with the intention to heal that allows the healing power of sound to move through us, rather than be created by us.

The whole experience is usually beautiful and enjoyable for both Healer and client.

I also offer Assemblage Point Realignment.

Please note that this cannot be done distantly. This needs to be performed in person.

The Assemblage Point is the main place where our energy field connects with our physical body. It is directly connected with our life force and is found in the centre of the chest.

This point is actually a cluster of energy lines. You May be able to physically feel where these energy lines meet in your chest, as there is generally a tender or sensitive area of skin with a diameter of 0.5 – 1.0 cms.

The position of the Assemblage Point has a direct effect on our physical and psychological health. When the Assemblage Point is correctly aligned we will feel positive and happy. We will be healthy and interact well with other people.

When the Assemblage Point is out of alignment we may feel unwell or anxious. We may be lacking in energy and feel that life is constant struggle.

Any sudden or prolonged stress can shift the Assemblage Point off centre. Events that may shift the Assemblage Point off centre include:–

  • Emotional Trauma

  • Violent Attack

  • Intimidation

  • Accidents

  • Giving Birth

  • Drug Use (legal or illegal)

  • Sudden Shock

  • Operations

  • Prolonged Illness

If the Assemblage point moves down to the liver area a person may experience depression and constant fatigue. This position is common in people with ME. If the Assemblage Point moves upwards a person may display manic behaviour. With some people the Assemblage Point can split in two, leading them to swing between mania and depression.

For more information and to listen to frequencies that will help realign your Assemblage Point, or help keep it aligned after treatment, if you are exposed regularly to stressors that might affect it, please click on the link below to take you to Simon Heather’s website.
